Postby Spankatron250 » Fri Sep 27, 2024 11:16 pm

Just wondering if anyone knows the price of them?

Has this been advertised anywhere? I note there is a post on the website stating the deal with last year's suppliers expired on the 24th. Wonder if that's the main reason why the new gear has not been available.

Either way, the whole saga has been a bit of a mess to put it mildly. I imagine sales of the kit will be poor given how late in the year it is.

I really hope the wider range of merchandise is a massive improvement. Unfortunately, history tells us to expect to be disappointed.

Strips £55
Polo's £45
Body Warmers £35

More merch to come apparently including the Stadium jackets you can see the players wear.

Good that they are finally available but at those prices I’ll pass. £45 for a polo shirt is terrible!

I got to the ground around ten past one. No mediums or larges left in the away kits, just small and XL. Consistency again not great, one top had the badge between the hoops. I'll pass. Please Serif, get a decent manufacturer for forthcoming seasons, £55 for tat is not on.

Thought the quality of the strips was a bit patchy. Other stuff looked decent though. Bought a gilet which is decent value at £35 and looks good.

Aye I did notice the badge on the away tops are absolutely below par in terms of positioning.

School team stuff in all honesty but hopefully it can be rectified

What's the sizing like? Are folk having to go 2 sizes up like last season?

Would say it's tight. At least a size up.

We had issues getting some of the sizes we were after but, ordered a couple for collection later this week (a few other folk did the same while we were in)

We were told that some of the sizes had sold out due to strong sales this morning. If that was the case then to be fair, thats positive, although frustrating for those of us who could not get what we were after today. if they can deliver on the orders within a couple of days, fair enough. (Yes I know it's a big if!!)

Agree that although improvements have been made, quality and consistency is not quite where we would like it to be. Sizes do seem to be on the small size as highlighted above.

Also, surely we could have had the shop open for an hour or so after the game? I saw some folk trying to get in as I was leaving today.

Agree Beckford, having the shop open after the game makes perfect sense.
Was talking to Serif before the game and he said they were awaiting another delivery early this week.
Quality of Polos, gilets and stadium jackets looked decent although small in size. Strips could be better.

I take it there is nothing on the tops that mentions our anniversary? Just for this season, the badge could've been amended to reference it. Check out Scunthorpe's Twitter to see what they did for their 125th. They have a circular badge just like Accies. Serif was still talking about a third strip on Saturday so maybe that will have it but it should've been on the front of all three strips.

I know Serif said the 3rd strip would be worn throughout December so would expect to see options very soon.

Could be wrong but from memory are the home strips not available with either a white or "gold" trim? Think the ones with gold trim have a golld crest but can't recall any changes to the gold crests to denote its an anniversary top.

Apparently the strips with the red trim to the neck are academy strips and all profits from them go to the academy.
Neat idea but not advertised very well I dont think.

It wasn't a neat idea, this was the design meant for the first team, which got changed when we all kicked up a stink about it. As I've said before, we have FOUR different designs across first team, U18s, U16 and the women. Most clubs just have the one. I didn't even realize the academy ones are for sale.

So those of you who purchased at the weekend, how’s the quality looking? Are they going to stand up to some wear and the washing machine?

Personally I’ll be holding off and hope to see a decent 150th anniversary top that was spoken about previously.

On another note, I assume this means we are now officially sponsorless this season.

No it's the same as the first team strip but with the different colour neckline. It's not what the U18s are wearing which is the reject 1st teamstrip.

Thanks for clarifying. This gets weirder. A top that none of the teams wear.

I see we had the strip on display at Morrison's with a sign saying "available now at New Douglas Park" but the tweet publicising this admits that they have only small sizes in both home and away and are waiting for new supplies. So, for most folk, not available now at NDP!

There was a load of new stock supposed to arrive on Weds, but apparently, it looks like Monday now.

Not ideal but at least we are trying to promote the club away from the stadium. A lot of us have been crying out for this so it is a small positive. I have made my views clear that it all feels a bit "too little too late" but I do recognise where there is progress made. We can't change the mistakes already made, but hopefully there will continue to be more positives going forward

One thing I do think we should raise is the shop feels too small for a combined club shop and ticket office. It can feel very busy and disorganised on a Sat if theres more than two or three punters in. I am not aware of the full details regarding Clyde's tenancy, but the office/ shop they had looked ideal for us to move the biggger merchandise range into?
