Now it’s Rangers who are interested and the article lists about another 7/8 English Premiership clubs who are also after him.

At one point if I remember correctly there were about 14 clubs chasing Jamie Hamilton

Another article this time linking One to Everton specifically. It claims that One is out of contract as at the end of May and HASNT yet been offered a new contract by Accies. Don’t believe that for one minute as under UEFA development rules that would mean the player is surplus to the club’s requirements and no development fee is due.

https://www.footballfancast.com/everton ... r-rumours/

His agents are StormX who have had numerous Accies players on their books over the years including the 3 Diamonds so it looks as though they are stirring the pot.

Why does this club always look back instead of forward? Reckon Kilday could do a job at this level but not sure about why he would come back.

So confirmation from Maitland that we have sold 2 to Norwich and Leeds and we expect One to go to Brighton.

Good luck to all 3. It seems a change in strategy as we tried to hold onto them until established in the first team generating even more money. But losing Ferguson taught them a lesson plus it’s obvious that a promotion push and the signings made cost money so good business all round.

Yes, good luck to all three boys who will hopefully have long careers ahead and a good income from football. If Accies receive 'add-on's, then it's a bonus for us.

The statement from Mr Maitland mentions the new owner. Have I missed something, or has been officially announced who, and it what format, has any new owner taken over Accies?

Oh, and ignore those barbed posts elsewhere, TT. Didn't know you were so powerful as to have sponsors declining to invest in Accies, as a result of your investigative work.

You haven’t missed anything Porcupine. The Only Accies boys said that Serif was hoping to announce the sale before he went to Turkey on a family visit. I assume things weren’t finalised before he left so everyone is awaiting his return. Maybe Mcgoofey is waiting for the cheque to clear before he hands over the keys? To the club that is not the stadium.

A lot of players coming in so makes sense to recoup some funds. Hopefully this is part of a focused approach on sustainability whilst driving a promotion challenge. Sad to see young talent leave the club under any circumstance but echo the best wishes expressed by others. At least they never went to the OF!

Thanks, TT. Still can't see why an investor would see any financial benefit in buying a football club without the stadium. A bit like buying a boat.... "a hole in the water you pour money into", but at least you have a boat to sell at some stage. Only two good days when owning a boat. The day you buy it...........and the day you sell it

I worry that Serif will just be a puppet, and the owner in name only.

We are all waiting with bated breath Fergie to see what and when is announced re the ownership question. We were told initially it would be about the 14th of last month but maybe the ‘negotiations’ have taken longer. Unfortunately the devil will be in the detail which we will never see. It’s perfectly possible to transfer shareholdings to someone else but retain control through contractual obligations. If a sale has gone through did Serif pay a £1 for the club like Ronnie but assume the debt as part of any deal? Maybe he has paid a cash sum for the club? But a club without a stadium has only really one tangible asset, its licence to play in the league. That’s why Airdrie bought Clydebank, they got Clydebanks’ licence. Serif, if that’s who has bought it, seems to be a successful businessman and initial signs re the club are promising.
