Friday night is football night Accies v ICT

Postby TerracingTomas » Tue Feb 22, 2022 5:45 pm

ICT have lost 2 and drawn 3 of their last 5 games and it’s fair to say Billy Dodds isn’t currently the fans favourites. Meanwhile our injury list is starting to go back the way with Ryan and Hamilton out for however long. So presumably it’s Winter and Moyo upfront with any goals for us likely to come from our other 9 players and I include Hilton. I’m sitting on my backside at home for this one and will watch it on tv. 1 - 0 to either Accies or ICT.

Not signing a striker may yet come back to haunt us. Moyo could not hit a barn door from 10 ft, so god knows where the goals are coming from, until Ryan is back, think he is out for about 6 weeks

Can still bring a striker in on loan - but we won't.

I have said this before moyo is not getting goals but he gives us so much more, he never stops running , he is an out ball, and his height in defence at corners and set pieces has been very beneficial. He is a must start for me

Completely agree but according to a fan on Twitter, who used to a regular poster on here, we played with ten men against Morton! He's made his mind up about him and nothing will change that.

Match report here

Thought Fulton was man of the match with some critical saves. Overall we did just about enough to earn a point. Second half pretty poor but ICT had the better chances.

The second half was miles better entertainment wise but part of that was down to us being wide open in defence. Popescu was back to being a bombscare. MOTM Fulton by a mile. Moyo - getting harder to defend him. Great ball across by MacDonald near half time, Moyo for once read it, stretched but still fails to score. But again he puts in a power of work and heads balls clear. Unlucky not to score late on, a good save. Young Ellis Brown looked good when he came on.

Only two defeats in last twelve but only four wins.

Just a thought! Could Moyo’s best position be a defender, and he’s been hiding in plain sight for all this time??????
