Judging by these comments it’s another potential postponement. Add injuries and Moyo and we must be struggling. Thistle don’t seem to be in much better shape. Fingers crossed it’s on.

Hamilton boss Stuart Taylor has revealed the club will be without at least five players for Saturday's clash with Partick Thistle due to Covid, as he bemoaned the uncertainty surrounding testing.

Accies are due to welcome the Jags to New Douglas Park in a Championship clash, but Taylor is facing a selection headache with five players ruled out due to Covid.

Really hope its on, especially after the performance against QOTS - im keen to see what the new signings can do - Oreilly already impresses with what id class as a solid performance.

Whilst I don't want a postponement, it probably makes more sense NOT to play the fixture if we are well short of enough people that can match the Jags line-up.

No point is starting with a major disadvantage where we could look for all three points. Common sense required here?

I think a draw a fair outcome. Jamie came close towards the end with one that seemed to hit the crossbar and they had one that just trundled past the post. No idea how weak the Thistle team was but in Rudden and Tiffoney they have 2 skilful players so a draw is an improvement on previous results. It’s going to take some effort to close the gap on the top 5 but as the teams below us I.e. Ayr and Morton seem to be experiencing new manager bounce we can’t afford to take our eye of the bottom.

As TT says, a point apiece was a fair result. Despite Partick looking the better and faster team, we would have been hard done by, had we lost all three points today. It was great to see the fightback on both occasions after they scored, something that was missing in many of the first half games of the season.

O'Reilly looked comfortable in a back three of Popescu, Easton & himself, with Shields and Redfern operating as wing backs. Virtanen won a lot of balls in the air for us, Chukky worked his socks off as usual, and Lewis worked his magic drawing defenders onto him. As a unit we were so much better, and we should surely go to East End Park with high hopes, given the 5-0 drubbing they got today at Greenock. It's just a pity that as Accies supporters we can't attend with the 500 limit/ season tickets only rule.

There were some supporters tuned away today at the turnstiles. Presumably they were unaware of the entry restrictions. The sooner that common sense prevails in Holyrood regarding the lower three divisons, the better. All Clubs can use the extra gate money at this time.

On this showing, I now can't see any likelyhood of us having to fight for survival in the Championship by May.

Now read it, TT. That would be a joke except for the real seriousness of elected local & national officials unable to use any modicum of common sense.

Our situation is no where near that level of incompetence, but as it stands, both Accies and either of the Old Firm have excactly the same crowd restrictions in place. namely 500 season ticket holders. It'll be MOST interesting to see what happens once the Scottish Premier league restarts.
I suspect our Holyrood politcians will have bottled it by then.
