Public Humilation - Again

Postby porcupine » Fri Oct 29, 2021 11:01 pm

View from the Terrace BBC Scotland tonight. Once again we have the Scam highlighted on how easy it was at Hamilton Accies, suggesting that we are amateurish in our approach.

This will be remembered for a VERY long time by the media. And no heads rolled!!

To be honest saying that our club is amateurish is a pretty decent observation. Not just with this incident, but in general the way the club is run, ticket sales, fan interaction, social media, Accies TV. Who could forget the game last season when one of the guys was just back from doing a shite

Thats what happens when the football is way down the list of club priorities.

I see the midweek 50/50 winner got just £63. Junior clubs have bigger prizes. An Albion Rovers game I was at with a crowd under 400 had a prize of over £100. Is this another scam? Do we really take in as little as £126?

The takings are pretty consistent with last season when the 50/50 was run on line so to speak. Not being at the ground got a lot of people out of the way of buying plus there are some who refuse to buy on the basis that it goes to the Community Trust and you have no idea how much was going “elsewhere”

If it's a pound a ticket, and many guests in hospitality would take maybe five in return for their 'free' meal, then its probable that under 100 buy tickets. Reasons? See TT's response.

Like me!

Where there's cash there's always the possibility of 'slippage'

The 50/50 prize was a little higher today at £100 but I just checked the Albion Rovers forum, their prize was £200 from a crowd of 417. Just another little embarrassment to add to the long list.
