WTF no way he is getting more £££ with them! This is another joke from a joke club! He is type of player we need not 18 year old midjet midfielders!

Typically well thought through and measured post.

Harkins might turn out to be a great signing for Ayr but do you think that there might be something in no Premiership or top half Championship club being interested. Do you think that Dundee were keen to get rid for a reason? A player with undoubted talent but a player who looked unfit and overweight anytime we played Dundee last season.

Midjet midfielder - really?

wow a reply by H9crx shot down by another acciesworld bully. a player that looked overweight? can often mind fatty scoring a few by us including the game b4 the split. I'd rather have fatty in an accie team b4 Louis, redmond and mckinnon. that unfit fatty scored more than our top scorer last season. keep up the good work H9crx

We don't need a player like Harkins and no matter how frustrated our signing policy may make us it doesn't mean any decent player would fit us. He is a player who has gone to the relegation zone of the championship and I would suggest that is the bottom line.

The full back and striking areas need to be our priority just now - unless Scott McM and Ben R are going to step up; but I think its early for them yet to be the mainstays in those areas.

Having watched most 20s games I would say Mcmann and Reilly will be the full backs at some point both have the talent also very direct and add the width we lack in most games is it a bit early for them to be first picks probably but with our lack of fullbacks I would like to give them a go rather than keep playing midfielders out of position

Time to raid the lower divisions for the best talent available, I'd suggest:-

Defender - Lee Kilday
Midfielder - Jordan Kirkpatrick
Striker - Andy Ryan

Any other suggestions?

Oh you rascal!

We apparently tried to get Kilday back but he told us to do one, which is understandable.

I do seriously think Alloa would beat us and Jordan seems to be on fire. Pity his name doesn't suit a song.

We should be looking closer to home rather than foreign gambles. Jason Marr of Alloa is a fine centre half but is part time I gather and why would he move? Right backs and left backs? Championship will have plenty but again, are we a sufficient step up?

Some players that haven't missed their chance already at this level ? Players make decisions for all sorts of reasons; but for most clubs in the lower leagues we are clearly a step up if only for the chance to impress against the best teams in the country.

That said we don't seem able to identify players who can step up. Nade, Turner and Martin for example but surely a journey man full back can be found to bridge the gap.

Greag spence

Del Lyle

James Keetings

All players who can score goals! Played on the wing or lone striker at accies, the goals dried up!

Could it be the one up top that is our problem? Only worked with MAC as #22 made up the Goals!

Adding more players who failed at this level or who have been judged by more than one manager as not up to this level doesn't really make a persuasive argument.

The one up tactic has got us where we are ie winning games you stated we wouldn't and staying in leagues you said we couldn't or didn't wan to stay in; suggesting we ditch a tactic based on hearsay is also not worth much.

Many also wanted Brophy to get more game time and its clear that will happen when the injury situation clears up.

One up top also worked with Richard Offiong and with Stevie May.

Lyle and Spence were poor with us, and scored few goals. Keatings scored goals, but isn't the lone striker type, and anyway he wanted away.

Our season may hang on whether Brophy can learn to play the lone striker role.

According to the Advertiser twitter, there's a left back signing shortly.

We have signed another centre back and - more hopefully - a striker!
Details to be announced in the next few days. At least one (possibly both) come from lower leagues in England.

Three at the back then as we don't have any full backs! Or players out of positio?

Two up top?

Or has Roy got the boot all ready?

The goalscoring record of this Rakish Bingham looks pretty dire. Had a loan spell at Falkirk a few years back making 11 appearances and scored zilch. It doesn't make for much better reading at his other previous clubs either. Still only 22 though so has time on his hands. The signing of Dan Seaborne looks to be a good bit of business though.

Someone should point the club to winki

Another set of breathtaking stats for a striker

2012–2014 Wigan Athletic 0 (0)
2013 → Falkirk (loan) 11 (0)
2014–2015 Mansfield Town 28 (6)
2015 → Hartlepool United (loan)5(1)
2015–2016 Hartlepool United. (4)

Let's hope he is coming of age and will be the awnser and not a Congo Chris

Don't see the point of signing Roy if we intended to bring in another striker ? Would we not be better combining the 2 wages to get a better option ?

Bingham did ok it seems at Mansfield and then joined Hartlepool seemingly due to Ronnie Moore being the boss. He then got the sack, so the new guy Hignett may not have fancied him. It's the market we have to look at, unless we can spot a player from the Scottish lower leagues and we don't seem to look there or if we do we lose out to the likes of Falkirk.
