Accies signed Billy Lamont from Albion Rovers. Possibly my favourite Accies goalie ever, and a very nice bloke too. Think he lives in Spain now.

For those not quite as old it was last Friday in 1973 that we signed Jim Frew from Saltcoats Vics. An Eric Smith signing when wee were just beginning to become a decent side again after some years as the absolute pits.

I'd put in some appearance details but I can't find my Peter McLeish book anywhere!

Whatever happened to the site run by Neil Brown, Newcastle fan, that documented all appearances by players no longer on Accies books? The original URL is gone. I often wondered how he managed to keep it up to date - maybe it all became too much? It was a great source of reference.
