Turner out for up to 6 weeks & Canning on Striker Search

The BBC report that Chris Turner is out for up to six weeks:

Have to be honest and say it might not be a bad thing and should give Docherty or Kurtaj a game, although it's likely we will see McKinnon slot into his place. The report also quotes Martin Canning as saying he wants another right sided centre half and a striker, but he is also quoted as saying that he's happy with the squad as it is should we be unable to bring anyone else in.

Personally I think another striker is a must, not sure where MC is at if he thinks we have enough goals in the current squad.

If he genuinely does not see the need for another striker to replace Chamorro I would find that strange and worrying; hopefully he is just being circumspect as if he comes out and says he desperately wants another striker then that could undermine negotiations etc.

McKinnon is for me is a better fit than Turner, as I think Turner is perhaps better suited to the role Gills has been playing.
