Hamilton Advertiser saying that he's away and we'll look elsewhere (including other trialists at the club). What a shambles. Something's not right here.

Shocked by this! Was looking forward to see him play.

Strikers at the club are; Nade, Andy Ryan, Brophy & Carlton Morris.... #Goals

Apparently on his previous clubs twitter there is talk about a 150,000 euro clause in the contract. Quite possible that Accies have failed to spot it and now are tearing up the contract. Utter shambles!

So about £105k for some one who could get some goals! But hay Rory loy was not with £200k

Don't think it is to much of a gamble?

Les has said previously they don't talk about speculation and will only talk when it's finalised. Well pictures on the clubs official Twitter sat in the boardroom with the manager signing a contract seems a lot more than speculation. Something fishy about this.

Wikipedia still has him playing for us:

Salvador Pérez Martínez (born 8 May 1990), commonly known as Salva Chamorro, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Scottish club Hamilton Academical, as a striker.[1]

It might not be the clubs fault. Presumably his agent flagged him up to us and either didn’t know about the compensation figure or failed to disclose in which case Accies within their rights to rip up the contract. I assume when we asked for international clearance somebody in Spain said hang on a minute. I’ve checked his old club twitter feed which had quite a bit about him signing including fans' responses but it all seems to have gone.

Very strange if true! Even the players Twitter has him listed as an accies player and his picture is of him signing his contract. looked a great signing so big potential loss of the news is true!

Oh dear - there is always an element of risk when signing foreign players and this looks like another example where the contract complexities have only been found out post contract. That said, it looks like the complexities mean the full signing has been pulled with no financial or contract detriment - we can't just cancel a contract on a whim, there must have been a legitimate reason. SITM is still involved in the club so I would doubt his absence is a factor.

However, again Accies think silence is a reasonable position and it filtering out via rumour on the internet and then semi confirmation from the Hammy Ad is poor stuff.

His exit does appear to have found him to be assumed to be a better player than the reaction was when he 'signed' ! :o

It now leaves us short and Plan B is required, however now a bigger chance of getting unfit players who haven't done a pre-season. In these circumstances Les might need to think about spending cash - if not on a fee then on wages as per when MAC and Scotland signed.

I've heard it's Scotland that's coming back, not MAC!

This is as bad as jan wen we let Scotland go and then publicly parade him of as our new player!

The Spanish boy could have been utter gash but he scored more goals last year then ever other striker at the club combined!

This could go a few ways!

1 They can knee jerk and bring in mac or Scotland

2 They can bring in a handful of randoms

3 Ask Neil for a good striker that has goal scoring history ( I live in hope that CM does the job)

I think we will see 1 and 2

There won't be a handful of random players. Maybe one or 2 but there's no chance they're bringing in any more than that. MAC or Scotland may come back (I sincerely hope they don't) but surely neither of them would return for their 4th and 3rd spells. As it stands Crawford is our main source of goals. When we signed Nade, Dundee fans said he'll do well but won't score many goals. When Morris signed, Norwich fans said he'll do well but won't score many goals. So the only natural goalscorer in our team (Brophy) has 0 Premiership goals?

MAC has barely kicked a ball since he left us so his fitness is an obvious doubt. Nade is doing the job that Jason did so I can't see him coming back again. With Partick signing Pogba today it is imperative that we find someone and fast. Even if Ali scored as many as last season it still leaves us in deep peril. Come on Les, get the cheque book out and get the Spaniard. It really is worth a punt!

Does Salvador Chamorro have the same agent as Ryan Harper?

I think Accies spending €150,000 on an unknown striker would be an outrageous gamble. Outwith Celtic and Rangers, you won't see many Scottish clubs with the ability to spend that kind of money.

Ok, we spent €200,000 on Tomas Cerny, but at least we knew then exactly what we were getting.

Now it looks like Chamorro is away (Even know there has been no statement from the club) I fully expect accies to replace him. We cannot settle with Nade, Ryan, Morris & Brophy, there is not even 10 goals between them. We need to act fast here. We must have a list of potential targets, hopefully someone new in by the end of the week to cover up this mess.

They might have removed all trace from the twitter feed but he is staring out as bold as brass modelling the away strip in the on line shop and on Facebook he is sitting alongside martin signing his contract. Hola
