What is the opinion on Chucky?

I for one was very suprised that he go a new deal! This week I see the club as put out for an operation with a specialist down south.

This makes the new deal even more suprising. Will we see him before Xmas? I think we should be looking to loan him out when eventually fit.

I think the club has played fair by Andy - he obviously got a really bad injury with us and we are giving him every opportunity to get back fit and have given him a contract to facilitate that.

In terms of his contribution on the park alone, we would have let his contract expire and leave the club and be faced with no access to specialist health care.

Pity they didn't show the same commitment towards Thomas Cerny when he got injured.

I may be wrong, but hadn't he already said he wasn't signing a new contract before he got injured?

Even if Gaspode is correct (I don't know could be ....) , it was still pretty poor the way the club treated him at the end .
Having to meet SITM away from NDP to collect his kit , IIRC , was pretty poor form......

I don't know why his contract has been extended tbh. He's always been an underachiever in my eyes. Being injured at this age probably won't bode well for the future either.

Good player on his day, hopefully this season is a big one for him.

I think he's been pretty poor in most his appearances. He is only young but a string of poor performances, coupled with a career altering injury/surgery is baffling when rewarded with a new contract.
