We finished above Motherwell for the first time in my life time.
We have a stadium, in Hamilton.
The players are getting paid every month.
We have the basis of a decent young squad with one or two who could move onto bigger and better things.
The club encourages younger fans to attend NDP with 3 free season books offer.
Most of the players seem to care about and enjoy representing our club.
The steak pies at NDP are edible.

Reasons to be cheerful, 1,2...

Last season, we finished 7th in the top tier in Scotland, emulating the achievement of 2009-10, and with a higher points total. We achieved that despite the perfect storm of losing the best manager and the top scorer in Scotland in the January transfer window.

Prior to that, we had 3 seasons in the old SPL, with a points per game outcome that is superior to that of Partick Thistle, St Mirren, Livingston and Dunfermline Athletic and only marginally poorer than Dundee and Falkirk. Most of those clubs have a bigger fan base than us and are almost all below us in the pecking order.

Add that to JJE's list and you should be smiling!

Positives

We seem to be financially stable. We have one of the best youth setups around. We produce stars of the future. We have a stadium that's 2 minutes walk from Morrisons, incase you fancy a cooked chicken. We are the crowned princes of Lanarkshire. In the first half of the season, I felt we played some of the best football I've ever seen from any Accies team in my life, creative and exciting.

I think the general consensus about our club is that we do a lot of things right, but a lot of small things that would could help us expand, isn't properly executed. Finishing outside the bottom 2 next season will be an achievement right now.
