I quoted MacDonald years ago as saying the club did not need fans to survive, and was shot down like a heretic by those still oblivious to what was going on (ie the vast vast majority).
Nothing has changed since then, however it is interesting to see this is now the widely accepted attitude of the club towards the fans.
