Match day discussion, transfers, and all things Accies

If Nigel can get his fitness up to scratch then I would keep him. I remember the complaints the last time he played for Accies but I also remember that he was excellent at taking the ball down and holding it well. He was also very good at causing all sorts of havoc for opposing defences. Getting in the box, twisting and turning. If he gets match fit, he has pre season to sort it.

Apart from anything else, Nigel is about 4ft 3in and weighs 6 stone. Not ideal for a target man....

I see Brian Graham has signed a 2 year deal with Ross County. Sensible investment for them I think, If they go down next season they have a proven championship striker under contract for another year.

Why are we never quick of the mark for players?

On the Dumbarton site that Chris Turner (28) midfielder has turned down a new contract with them to sign for Accies. When Les said he hoped to sign 3/4 experienced players I was hoping for a little bit more than this. Perhaps he is a hidden gem :?

I've always liked this guy. He has a bit of presence about him and can play too, not a bad signing if true.

Perhaps more of a safe than exciting (potential) signing but I think we can be clear that he will be capable of at least competing in the squad (unlike Sumsky, Lynch etc); but hopefully more.

We got MacDonald, Imrie and McGovern from leagues below us last year and they have been decent enough.

Heard he'd been released by them and couldn't understand it as their fans love him. Didn't realise we'd signed him. Hope he can make the step up. Another one occurred to me watching Sheffield United the other night, is Michael Higdon available? Always does well up here.

From a Sons fans on Pie and Bovril "Not surprised about Christ going. Hope someone at Hamilton grabs him tightly by the baws and screws his head down a bit. He's been a bit hot-headed of late.

Looks like he'll fit right in.

This would be a fantastic signing for the club. Sadly other clubs will want him and he will move for more money than we could probably offer. But he would fit right into our system and is what we are missing. One can hope :D :D

Money makes the world go round but I think hamilton do have some appeal to younger players. We clearly don't stand in the way of players moving on if there play merits it and we are all for giving young players a chance.
