Lyon is set to sign going by reports. I'm pretty happy with this signing in respect I do think he is a good player, a real dog and workman like with a bit of quality about his play also. He's a really good age and definitely someone we could progress up to the Championship with. My only concern is he is quite a similar player to Barjo and I don't see much creativity in a midfield 3 of Williamson, Barjo and Lyons. They all seem a bit of a similar mould to me. Transfer dealings is something I've been quite critical of Rankin of as he seems to sign good players without considering how they will work in our system.
Will this see the end of our transfer dealings? Unless we unload players I personally can't see any other players coming in - our squad numbers must be the biggest in the league now? I think this signing would take us up to 26 which seems wildly high for a L1 side.
