Annan Away

We came out the traps and could have been 4 up before they scored. What a contrast attitude wise to Saturday.

Missed the sending off as was in the cludgie but apparently a bit of play acting by Mr.Gibson? After that it was all hands to the pump and we defended resolutely and ultimately deserved the lucky break of the ball hitting the woodwork in the 94th minute.
Has to be said though we were really playing with 9 men as Mumbongo was absolutely dreadful and was unable to retain possession/hold the play up to give the defence a breather.

Heard from The Annan Chairman and our Board that we tried to sign Annan's big striker Tommy Goss who has always impressed me and would do job for us;Annan needed him for this season,so we will see next summer.

Looks like Mumbongo is another signing from English football who can't cut it up here. Goss was in my thoughts pre-season too, would have been a far better signing. Rankin's subs seemed bizarre, was Tumilty injured or struggling? And why not Henderson instead of Redfern? Still, a very good night all round.

Hard fought points so all good

Need to keep an eye out now for Cove who are finally getting their act together and are slowly moving up table, albeit 8 points behind us
