Back to the coal face Dees v Accies

So the Accies’ players shouldn’t need any motivating for this one. At the same time after QP’s defeat to Arbroath Dundee fans are smelling blood and fancy their chances of winning the league outright. Prices lowered by Dundee to attract a larger home crowd to give them that edge. I suspect a good away attendance though. Not my favourite ground but I’ll be there.

So no O’Reilly for this game as his red card appeal unsuccessful and I wonder if Redfern and Ashley Seal will be available or will injuries rule them out?

Latest on injuries and suspensions from Daily Record

Injured trio Benny Ashley-Seal, Marley Redfern and Matty Shiels - who all came off in the first half in the win over Raith Rovers - have been ruled out, while Dan O'Reilly's red card in the game means he joins the already suspended Scott Martin on the sidelines.

Normal service resumed. Awful first half performance from us. Rankin getting pelters at half time. Could.get messy second half. Steak pie was quite good though.

Let’s see the players in the bay horse or the vaults tonight.

Disgraceful by all.

Horrific performance. Based on that we deserve to go down. Arbroath string a few results together. Accies V Cove is biggy, whoever loses goes down automatically. Even the play off place will be too much for us

On performances of late. excepting the SPFL Trophy win, agree that we probably fall at the play-offs, if not auto relegated. We had a brief turnaround just after the January window, but no longer.

Two games a week now. Raith, Morton, Queens Park & Arbroath away. ICT & Plastic Whistle at home. I don't see the home tie next Saturday against Cove making a blind bit of difference. Kelty Hearts will be a new ground for me, only positive feature.

Left after the fifth goal. I think we had one shot on goal in the first half? And that was it. It could easily have been more as the Dundee players seemed to take us apart at will. Rankin says it was a hangover from last weekend.

I’m a bit shell shocked about that today to be honest.

Dreadful, absolutely dreadful, embarrassing, shameful and humiliating.

Players, Rankin, Daz and everyone associated with that today should hang their heads in shame and have a long hard look at themselves. Barely any of them were even able to look up and acknowledge us at the end. Every little bit of positivity and goodwill from last week had disappeared within twenty minutes and sunk lower than it’s been.

Forty one minutes before their keeper touched the ball I think and that was a goal kick and didn’t touch the ball with his gloves till the forty third minute.

The boards insistence on doing everything on the cheap is going to be our long term downfall. No proven striker in years. A rookie manager with an assistant brought in from amateur football. Constantly bringing in teenage players nowhere near ready for first team football and continuing to play them week after week when it’s evident to everybody they are out their depth.

I’m struggling to find any positive at all from today.

We are down. Accept that now and it won’t be just as hard when it’s confirmed. It’s happening. Accept it.

It’s still a race to the bottom Red and White Hoops. Cove are a point ahead of us but we have 2 games in hand. They are 7 goals worse off than us in terms of goal difference. I had a look at the Cove Facebook page and their fans are accepting their going down. Hartley and his January signings are seen as a disaster. I am not being optimistic at all but I think we will be in the play off spot simply because Cove seem to be worse than us if that’s possible. Whether we can win a play off

Wouldn’t disagree with you Porcupine. Players like Fulton and Martin are out of contract at the end of the season and will probably pick up better contracts elsewhere so if I’m cynical they have no reason to break sweat to keep us up.
