No chance smc. They are all enjoying playing Billy big football directors flashing their corporate club ties. Even if they did the fans would be left with no stadium and over a million pound of covid debt. Oh and the current squad

His stewardship of Raith put them on the verge of bankruptcy. A local group launched a rescue bid but Mcgoofey wouldn’t quit unless they repaid him his supposed investment of circa 500k or similar figure. That was when he threatened to build flats on Starks Park. So they bought him out and took on the club and the debt.

Would the various parcels of land at Accie's stadium not have sufficient footprint to build plenty of private houses, flats or higher rise social housing? Just a thought, TT!

The Partick situation is quite different. Would the main benefactors untimely death not have complicated things with executors involved apart from supporters involvement plus football directors too?

The Accies stadium company had planning permission to build a block of 20 or so flats over in the corner beside the railway line adjacent to the council houses but nothing ever came of it. I think mcgoofey was looking for a local housing association to come in pay for it.

As for Partick as far as I was aware all the benefactors shareholding had been passed over before he died to the trust but I’m not that familiar with the details. Enough to concern ourselves with at NDP Porcupine without worrying about Partick.

Agree, TT. Forget about Partick.

String pullers at Accies? One?
