Accies v Stranraer

No Easton and not much on the bench to make radical changes. Maybe we have given up on qualifying so a few more youngsters will get a shot ahead of the league campaign. Surely 3 points for Accies.

No way should they have given up qualifying as nine points should see you through and we have three games left.

Not necessarily, there is 1 less best runner up spot this season due to an extra team playing in Europe and our GD has already taken a battering from Dundee. I’d be very surprised if we manage to qualify now.

It may come down to the last game versus Queens Park to qualify and they appear to be doing what we did signing up and coming players eager to make an impression.

Apparently, the lad Grant Savoury they signed from Peterhead is outstanding;the sort of signing we used to do years ago.

If we are worried about Stranraer at home it is time to pack it in. This should be good enough

Even with our limited squad we should have more than enough to beat Stranraer at home.

As Porcupine said, if we cant beat them it really is time to pack it in

If we did lose that game wonder how that will affect future home crowds as surely only the most dedicated fans will continue going to watch

Not that long ago we drew with Albion Rivers remember which set the tone for a poor season.

Even further back,we lost 5-1 at home to Stranraer in one of the most dreadful displays ever by an Accies team although I think this may have been during the period the players were not getting their wages.

If we don't watch,McGoofy's ineptitude will have us back to those bad old days.

Quote from Michael Doyle’s pre match interview

It's cup football and teams won't be judged on what happens in the cup. People don't really remember what happened in the group stages last year but you remember who got promoted.

I beg to differ Michael. I think you will find that football fans including Accies’ fans remember cup results both League and Scottish cups. Annan and Auchenleck will live with us for a lifetime. I bet Ross County fans remember their cup success. Whatever 3 - 0 tonight please.

Typical Accies mentality from Doyle, already. Winning cups is for massive clubs like St Johnstone, Ross County, Livingston and Inverness.

Lanarkshire Live summary of first half

Entertaining first half with plenty of chances but no goals yet. Hamilton have edged it on chances, but League Two Stranraer have looked pretty assured so far.

Unable to be there tonight. So explain, how/why have we given away two penalties?
