Dear Ben Banks

I appreciate you are starting out in the world of journalism and your speciality is sport. You seem like a nice guy but really aren’t you ashamed to put your name to McGuffey’s latest whine “Its my commercial income that’s keeping the lights on and these commercial interests are only here because of my social conscience model.”
It's the same piece of garbage he has been pushing to the press for the last 18 months.

Ben, the majority of the ‘commercial’ interests are there because nobody else with half a brain would touch them with a bargepole. They include or have included a struck off chartered accountant, associates of an international drug cartel, charity trustees who were struck of for perpetrating a uk wide rates scams, fined cold callers, and start up companies with not a pot to piss. Follow the money Ben and see where it leads? How much money does the CEO take out for his own personal income? How much money is raised through the Accies Youth Trust but is siphoned off to Mcgoofeys’ personal charity Blameless.

And while you are at it, try asking the chairman Alan Maitland why he has nothing to say, try asking Ronnie MacDonald why if he has left the club, he still retains through his family a very significant shareholding in the stadium and club. Try asking the fans why the attendances have dropped, a process that started during the Premiership years not as a result of relegation. Try asking the fans what the problem is. It’s blindingly obvious.

Great post, journalism is effectively dead in Scotland, merely the mouthpiece of the establishment, so the truth is dispensable. Mcgoofey should not have been allowed anywhere near our club.

Also on the back page of the local £1.60 pamphlet that used to be a half decent read.
