Interview with Stan

Probably a lot have aready viewed this on You Tube but just in case here’s the link to the Only Accies interview with Stan.

It’s a fairly long piece but well worth sticking with. As others have said Only Accies have throughout the season produced really good quality balanced coverage of all things Accies and put our official output to shame.

As to the interview itself I think Stan comes across well. In a sense not a lot new. He speaks about how he is trying to play, recruitment, building the team and that’s not just the playing squad but the back room staff, changing the culture etc. but all in some depth. I’m happy to see him take on the field matters forward into next season providing he’s backed having heard that.

One or two negatives. He’d obviously been given a few points to get across by you know who. With Ronnie gone, Colin has stepped in and provided the funds for the January window which was our biggest January window bar 1 and the repeat of the allegation that missiles were thrown at the kit van at the Auchenleck game. Doesn’t directly blame Accies fans probably because it was wee Auchenleck neds. Trying to improve crowds Colin gave out 2000 free tickets to school kids but only 20 turned up. Well that’s 20 more than usual and we were told it would be a sustained initiative not not for just one game.

Anyway have a listen and see what you think. As Stan says football is all about opinions.

Good to have the absolute nonsense about ‘not trusting’ Oli Shaw put to bed.

Very interesting, well done to both parties. However, no team starts time wasting "from the first second" not even us and we must be the worst for it in the league, and also the most unsuccessful at it! Surprised also that no one asked about the team selection at Auchinleck. We had Macdonald, Hamilton, Mullin, Virtanen, Lewis Smith and Moyo on the bench, a lightweight midfield with Hughes, Mimnaugh and Redfern and Shiels in from nowhere for his debut. He definitely took them lightly, despite what he says here.
