Accies v Ayr

Postby TerracingTomas » Wed Sep 15, 2021 10:41 pm

No idea what to expect. Only certainties about the Accies team and their performance is the long term injury list. Temps, Martin and Shiels all out. Oh and Jamie Hamilton will be unavailable. Will he drop Easton and bring back Want alongside Popescu. Will Moyo be back. Will the ‘process’ progress? Since Duffy took over Ayr they have won twice against Dunfermline and Rangers B so seem to be experiencing interim manager bounce. I’m going to be positive 2 - 1 for a bounce back Accies.

A question for the SLOs. Is PPV available for this game? An Ayr fan on P and B isasking. Says he has emailed Accies but no reply yet

I’m relatively confident that we’ll bounce back from last week’s disaster.
We really need to play football on the Astro so Lewis Smith AND Redfern today please. I would be tempted to give Chucky an hour and tell him to knock his pan in then bring Moyo or Munro on. Munro and Moyo really need a goal to get some confidence.

I admire your confidence , if Moyo is fit hopefully he will play , him and Chucky seemed to play well together against Q.O.S.
Our home form has been terrible the past few seasons it's time to resolve that. I'd like us to try and build some chances rather than relying on the "hoof" up the park.

No real reason to feel confident to be honest but am cautiously optimistic :D

Just a repeat of the Morton game. Dominated play but no cutting edge. Popescu should have given us the lead just before half time. Predictive text just changed his name to "poorest" which is quite fitting. This team will struggle to avoid automatic relegation. We all knew we needed a striker except the men who matter.

Maybe we should set up to rope a dope and hit on the break. Something has to change and soon.

If anybody was in any doubt, we are in big trouble! We could have played all day and not scored a goal!

Without a hard man in the middle of the park and at least 1 new striker we are going down again.

I must say when I saw the team my heart sunk. I thought Chucky did really well but was ploughing a lone furrow. Lewis Smith has to start next week. I’m relatively confident….

Well I get where Stan was coming from by playing the same team apart from the enforced change because of Jamie’s red card. Basically go out and redeem yourself after last week. Except they didnt. Almost a repeat of last week apart from the scoreline. Reasonable first half but no goals and hit twice on the counter to lose 2 goals. But heh apart from starting Lewis there is little else of quality currently available. Frightening. How you turn that lot around Stan is beyond me.

No highlights again available on YouTube. Some clubs who have put their weekend highlights up - Raith, Stranraer, Kelty Hearts, Alloa, Edinburgh City and Stenhousemuir (eleven minutes from a 0-2 defeat at Stranraer).
